Certified Diamond

All diamonds that have been certified by a non profit reputable independent laboratory is your hallmark of the quality of the diamond you choose. The report shows:

  • The stone is a natural diamond (which is very important these days)
  • Actual weight of the diamond (not estimates)
  • Colors (from D-M) in white stones
  • Clarity (from IF-I3)
  • Cut grade which indicates the fire in a diamond

It will also show properties such as fluorescence (under long wave ultra-violet light). If the diamond has strong fluorescence, it may result in reduction in the value of the stone, although the property of slight fluorescence generally does not affect either the quality or the value. We source only fine diamonds for your selection and will not sell strong fluorescence stones to you

When buying diamonds, insist on the certificate to come from a reputable, internationally recognised laboratory such as the GIA, IGI, and HRD. These labs are totally independent, non profit organisations as they are not involved in buying, selling or valuation of gems. A certificate from any of the above labs will enable a knowledgeable jeweller to give you a market value for your diamond, as there is an international pricing structure for certified diamonds which is updated every fortnight.
